Over the past few years, innovation in dentistry has advanced treatment options considerably. New technology helps diagnose problems earlier, allowing dentists to treat problems with “kinder and gentler” techniques.
One of our most unique instruments, called CEREC allows us to complete a ceramic tooth restoration chair side in one visit instead of two, saving you time and convenience. The veneer or crown is manufactured in our office while you browse a magazine or sip on a coffee.
Another advancement in dentistry is Waterlase Dentistry. This is a conservative non-surgical treatment for both the teeth and the gums. Heat, vibration and pressure are the primary causes of pain associated with the use of a traditional dental drill. Since Waterlase Dentistry is for both hard and soft tissues (teeth and gums) it does not generate heat, vibration or pressure. Many dental procedures can be performed with fewer shots, less need for anesthesia, less use of the drill and fewer numb lips. Waterlase dentistry reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication.
A few other advancements our office offers are digital radiographs (x-rays) which emit 80%-90% less radiation than traditional x-rays. We also have inter-oral photographs that we put up on the big screen for you to take a tour of your mouth. This allows you to really understand what the Dr.’s are talking about and allowing you to actually see the final result.
Paperless computerized medical records is just one more service we offer our patients, this allows us to keep your records the most accurate and up to date. As technology continues to move forward so do we. Our clinical and administrative teams participate in numerous continuing education programs engineered to provide you, our patient, the most up to date training available.
